About the event
The Forcefields are thrilled to be collaborating with the awe-inspiring artist Sarah Hearn.
Sarah Hearn, Volland Foundation’s current exhibiting artist will lead a LICHEN WALK around Volland’s built area and Nature Trail, sharing information on the fascinating world of lichens, a product of the symbiosis between fungi and algae. Lichens are some of the most implausible but real species on our planet and beyond; illustrating how science is sometimes stranger than fiction.
After the walk, THE FORCEFIELDS the musical duo of Julia Othmer and James T. Lundie, will present a live performance with enhanced soundscapes and original visual projections. The concert will be a multi-media experience featuring the hand-drawn artistry of Sarah Hearn on their composition “The Symphony Of All Things.” The Forcefields and Hearn are collaborators (much like lichens).
While this is a free program. Volland kindly asks that you RSVP to the event (link in bio). Light refreshments served.
